DO YOU NEED HELP?

Our center provides the refuge and consistency homeless families need to get back on their feet.

SAFE, SECURE, WARM AND STABLE

The Hope for Families Center is designed not just to be a place to stay, but to provide a structured program that teaches families how to set expectations of themselves that they can carry into the future.

All families admitted into our program will be provided with a private room, access to three meals per day, and are required to complete the program requirements of finding employment and attending Hope For Families financial and family guidance programs.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

To access residential services at the Hope for Families Center, your family must be able to answer “yes” to the following questions.

  • Are you homeless?

  • Do you have children who are legally under your care?

  • Are you drug and alcohol free? A drug screening will be conducted prior to admittance.

  • Are you willing and mentally and physically able to work or perform community service (volunteer) hours?

  • Are you willing, mentally, and physically capable of participating in residential services such as financial management and family guidance?

  • Are you compliant with prescribed medications and willing to turn in all medication to the Hope For Families staff?

  • Are you free of felony charges for violence, multiple misdemeanor charges for violence, or any sexual criminal convictions? A background check will be conducted prior to admittance.
Exceptions, not including violent or sexual criminal violations, can be made. These cases will be presented to the Executive Director for evaluation before admission.

  • Do you have access to birth certificates and shot records for your entire family?

* HFC will admit expectant mothers on an individual basis.

Preference will be given to individuals from Indian River County who have not utilized our services in the past year and are literally homeless and without shelter of any type.

If you answered “yes” to all of the above questions, please call 772-567-5537 to begin the admissions process. Space is limited and you may be placed on a waiting list.
