Providing the necessary structure for leadership, management, employees and volunteers to work together to collectively support our mission.
The Hope for Families Center Executive Director Marty Mercado guides our organization in creating and maintaining a culture of compassion, respect, and strength. She makes connections within the community that preserve our mission. She expands our reach so families in need have access to services that put them on a path to sustainable self-sufficiency.
Serving as engaged advocates for the Hope for Families promise to the community, our board of directors works not only to garner financial support but to identify social policies and share experience and knowledge. Each of our board members leads by example showing their commitment to the Hope for Families Center by being actively involved in shelter or with community events – upholding the fact that our board is not there solely in name but in heart.

Our Case Mangers provide residents with the tools they need to empower themselves to move their family to a better future. Extensively trained and highly connected to other community programs, each of our Case Managers works with residents to provide the skills, education, and processes needed to successfully fulfill responsibilities to themselves and their family.
The Support Staff at the Hope for Families Center ensures a safe, clean and well-organized environment for everyone. Trained by the Resident Manager, our support staff helps address needs such as meal preparation, monitoring the distribution of medications, regular room inspections, and the monitoring of public spaces to ensure safety.
Our Volunteers support the families of the Hope for Families Center in the ways that best fits with their background and experience. Whether its support with computer literacy, preparing meals, or as a mentor, our volunteers are valuable to ensuring the success of our families and our mission. Just like all of our staff, volunteers must go through a rigorous background screening to keep our families safe.
