Marty Mercado, Executive Director, created this initiative from a shared desire among the women of The Hope for Families Center to do even more — to reach further into our community, to listen, and to lift families who are working toward stability and independence.
Each of us feels called to help, to use our voices and our influence to create meaningful change for those who need it most.
While our mission at the Center serves everyone, Women of Hope gives us a special opportunity to lead with empathy and action. Together, we can strengthen the foundation of family life in our community and help make family homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.
Thank you for joining us and for standing beside us in hope and purpose.
Without investment in housing and family supports, homelessness will remain a recurring cycle. State appropriations and legislative reforms directly impact our community’s ability to keep homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.
Women of Hope advocates to ensure the voices of children and families are heard in Tallahassee, so policies reflect the realities of our community.
The Women of Hope initiative will include a six-meeting series designed to cultivate alignment, action, and measurable impact. Each meeting will build upon the last, creating a thoughtful progression from mission understanding to community mobilization.
